Are you looking for a place to connect in community? Seeking a place where you can talk about your faith in an open and non-judgmental environment? Join us for Sacred Circle. Carve out a special time each month to draw on God’s comfort and strength through the sharing of your joys and challenges of life.
Sacred Circle is a contemplative listening experience, which means it is about holy listening. Trained facilitators will guide you through a structured sharing format that create the opportunity for deep listening and a respect for each person’s sacred story.
Each month’s discussion is based on the monthly reflection found in our Sunday emails.
Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention… especially if it’s given from the heart. When people are talking, there’s no need to do anything but receive them. Just take them in. Listen to what they’re saying. Care about it. Most times caring about it is even more important than understanding it.

What to Expect
Sacred Circle is a partnership between Retreat, Reflect, Renew and Mercy Center. Here is what you can expect whether you are at Mercy Center Auburn or Mercy Center Burlingame:
Each Sacred Circle is a stand-alone session and new participants are always welcome.
The sharing is based on the Monthly Retreat Reflection, which we encourage you to read ahead of time.
Sacred Circles are guided by a sharing process and Sharing Pledge.
Mercy Center Auburn
When: Second Tuesday of the month
Time: 10 AM-12 PM
Lunch Option: We now have the option to stay after 12 for lunch for $15. Reservations with lunch must be made 3 days in advance.
Please note we will be unable to meet in September due to facility repairs.
2024 Dates: Aug. 13, Off Sep., Oct. 8, Nov. 12, Dec. 10
2025 Dates: Jan. 14, Feb. 11, Mar. 11, Apr. 8, May 13, June 10
Cost without lunch: Voluntary Contribution
Cost with lunch: $15*
*Please note lunch registrations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
